KVELL: Bronte and Zahavi are exhibiting art in the same exhibition, JEW& at the A.N. Bush Gallery in Salem, OR. The exhibition “…challenges expectations about who Jewish artists are and the duality of the Jewish experience.” Created and curated by Jessica Rehfield (who is Bronte’s dear friend) for the Salem Art Association, Jew& is the first exhibit of its kind in Oregon to exhibit all Jewish artists in a space outside a Jewish institution!

Please join Reb Zmira and her friend Sheryl Shapiro at this link each Thursday at 8:45 pm, April 2 through May 14, for a brief exploration of the Sefirah of the week in our Omer counting. In ancient times, a sheaf/measure (omer) of barley was brought to the Temple on the second day of Pesach (Passover). The 7 weeks between Pesach and Shavuot (Shavuot literally means "Weeks," a week of weeks) are counted each night. This practice of counting the omer has agricultural and biblical roots in addition to being a spiritual journey from liberation (from slavery in Egypt) to revelation (of Torah on Mount Sinai)…Click here to read more. |

Chant Group News: Next Session: Sunday, May 31st Chantlings will be meeting most every last Sunday of the month, 11-12 PST, over Zoom or in person at Zahavi’s in West Linn.
