Join Milt and Pam for a Double-Feature Elul Experience Matinee!

1. Peace—in memory of Mike Leander with Milt Markewitz

Milt Markewitz will share briefly on each of the following topics and open the conversation for comments and questions. He will present:

  • Mahatma Gandhi’s definition of Peace and Shalom as understood in Ancient Hebrew;

  • A previous P'nai Or Tikkun Olam approach to Palestine/Israel;

  • A response to “Israelis shooting Palestinians in their olive groves”;

  • How our culture conditions us to Fundamentalist teachings; and,

  • Retelling our stories through the way of seeing the world that is Ancient Hebrew—in English.

After an intermission of a couple of minutes, we will start the next class.

2. Welcoming with Maggidah Pam Vergun

Pam will guide us through thoughts for strengthening P’nai Or by helping us to be the most welcoming place to be, using an engaging mix of music, images, storytelling, reflection, guided imagery, and laughter.

We would love to see newer (and brand new!) friends join us! However long you have been part of P’nai Or, we hope you will join us!

Make sure to pack your laughter and maybe a pocket story of feeling really welcomed!
